World of Nyrea

Intro

First came the storms, followed by earthquakes, then mountains rose and fell and many erupted into volcanoes, the waters receded around some lands and rose to unimaginable depths and flooding others, then came the droughts with scorching heat waves, only to be followed by more storms and flash flooding, all the while the lands and waters
continued to rise and fall. With the mass death and destruction came disease and famine. Portals to other worlds that could offer sanctuary, or at least resources, crumbled. The gods went silent, and fluxes of unstable magic gathered, and sporadically exploded and other times vanished from the world all together. With no gods, with no help or access to
other worlds, unstable magics that came and went, this was certainly the end of times.

No one knows what triggered the phenomenon or if it was natural causes that started the fall of the world but, all life as it was once known is gone, all cultures and civilizations wiped out, lost, and forgotten to destruction and time. All knowledge from the time before the apocalypse is thought to be lost, there are currently no memories or links of any kind to the time before the fall of the world. Only small factions of any life survived, and it is scattered across the lands of a post-apocalyptic world known as Nyrea.

Though some, among these factions, still gossip, and rumors are still whispered between survivors, pointing fingers, and spreading blame for the fall of the world. There are others who have risen above such petty antics and have accepted the challenge to band together, to begin anew, and explore and build a new world. The scattered factions of
life seem to hold to a simple saying, “Strength in Unity.”

As life continues to emerge and grow in the post-apocalypse, the whispers of new gods could be heard on the winds and in dreams, magic rediscovered, and portals to other worlds began to appear, which new life emerged from. However, even with the aid of gods, magic, new life, and the strength of unity, life, and victories would not come easy.
There are many obstacles and dangers all throughout Nyrea. None more dangerous than what has become known as The Void. Like a fog it slowly creeps across the lands of Nyrea, spawning strange creatures, and leaving nothing but death and void in its wake. So, whether by sword’s glinting steel, divine or primal powers, arcane mystical might, or from professions to support, great battles must be fought, and many puzzles and mysteries solved to slowly build and protect this new world.
Though the fall of the world has ended, and was not the be all and end all, by the time life had recovered enough to begin moving forward again, time had only recently begun being recorded. It is now the year 122 in the Age of Alliance. In the last several hundred years, new life has emerged, been created, and appeared from other worlds. Over the years the factions of scattered life began to come together in an alliance to explore and build the new world. Small gatherings and camps are built in locations rich with resources. In time these camps can grow into outposts with hopes to grow into villages or are used as a base of operations to further explore out into the world.

You, as your character, will begin play at a newly constructed outpost. The Outpost Reliance needs people to help harvest resources, people proficient in different professions, they need the arcane, divine, primal, and martial guardians, warriors, and explorers. Come, choose your paths, and help build a new and better world.
