Primal Classes
Tenet
-
Understand and respect nature in all forms. Without nature we will perish.
No one can remember the nature of old before the Apocalypse. Any remnants of unearthed knowledge speaks of a kinder, gentler nature. When the world was undone all forms of life were decimated, including plants, animals and much of the terrain and elements within. What survived mutated and adapted to a much harsher environment. Ancient tales of cities are considered myths in a world where nature is the only other reigning force beyond the Barren Wastes the Void has claimed.
Civilization no longer dictates the shape of nature. Fields are not cleared for farmland nor stone laden roads. People have learned to use what ruins that have been discovered or make their way within nature to try and survive. Woodcutters in tune with nature pay careful attention to avoid drastically changing the natural landscape. To do so can bring the attention and destruction from many predators, enemies, and at times even the Void. The primal forces of nature can be brutal, such as predatory beasts, droughts, floods, devastating storms, and other arcane phenomenon. However, nature still provides. It is the source of food and drink. It is the shelter and fire that keeps people warm. The power of Primal magic helped many people survive after the apocalypse in a time when there was no divine healing. Those who listened to nature, its powerful spirits, and or creatures, learned the primal ways of Druids, Rangers, Shaman, Totemic-Warriors, and Warlocks.

Those who put their faith in Primal forces often have visions and dreams of an element with an animal, insect, and or a plant. This could be a cloud of pollen or the branches of a great tree going against the wind, or possibly a great stag with antlers of fire or ice. These types of sightings are often incorporated into a symbol, and it is believed many of these visions and or dreams have some deep hidden meaning that the primal forces of the world are trying to share.

The followers of the Primal faith or powers often debate if there is a single deity that broke away from the others, while some believe it to be an entire faction of other "nature" deities. However, the majority of followers understand that the world is more alive than most people are able or willing to understand. Regardless of how people see this Primal force of power, as a god or simply the forces of nature, the truly faithful who respect nature and follow the single Primal tenet are blessed with prayer and ritual powers.

Druid
Druids use their abilities over plants, animals, and the elements to maintain balance as they simulate the destructive, protective, and healing forces of nature. Many Druids may focus their worship or keep a watchful eye on a particular natural area. They will help maintain the balance of nature and warn people against over harvesting, fishing, hunting, woodcutting, or mining. They often work with the other Primal classes to do what is necessary to return balance to the land from any threat. Many people may turn to Druids to help understand various problems that may occur in nature and in return they respect the natural area the Druid has deemed sacred.

Ranger
Rangers are skilled hunters, experienced explorers, and ferocious flankers. Rangers excel at guerrilla tactics and tracking. In tune with nature, they have supernatural abilities allowing them to quickly find their prey. Rangers tend to take a practical view of the world, using nature to protect it as well as those who call it home. Rangers risk their life outside of outposts when they are hunting and tracking. They will cross paths with various creatures and enemies. Their adept study of their prey has given them the ability to use the same skills against their enemies. They may favor an enemy to hunt due to the enemy being prevalent near their home, or left a lasting impression by an attack.

Shaman
Shaman are those who see beyond the veil into the primal forces of the world. They perform elaborate rituals to enter trances allowing the primal forces to lend their powers through Shamans. The primal forces they have been able to commune with are elementals and primal spirits found within nature. Such spirits are not made of a singular being or creature but an amalgamation that is a representation or aspect of nature, such as a Spirit of Disease or a Spirit of the Scavenger. There are also spirits of places such as a Spirit of the Lake or a Spirit of the Mountain. Nature is not always kind and like the ebb and flow of the tide it can become overly destructive, including the primal spirits. They may need to be communed with them or defeat them. Elementals can appear in places where there is an abundance of an element and they will continue to cause an abundance of an element, and consume life to be their fuel to grow larger. The appearance of Elementals is often due to an imbalance that must be dealt with before the damage becomes too great.

Totemic Warrior
There are tales often heard around fires that either Primal Spirits or the Kaitura of the Wild Court were the first teachers of Totemic Warriors. There is little written about their ways, but they have persevered and adapted to survive the apocalypse. Often it is a tradition that is passed on with oral teaching and training with many villages or tribes that have a strong connection to the Primal. Students will be guided to learn observing the behavior of animals and train in a feral fighting styles. Then they begin to learn the Primal magic to mimic the power of wild beasts to bolster their skills. While they cannot transform themselves outright, they can channel the primal strength of beasts to take on their mighty aspects and gain some fraction of their power.

Warlock
The Fel are the various demons and devil like creatures, as well as other monstrous beings dealing in primal blood magic that are part of the Kaitura Court of the Fel. Stories say the Fel were imbued with great power from the courts to repel the True Fey from the Primal world. Myths and legends of old told that the first Warlock was a mortal who made a deal with the one of the Fel centuries ago to fight the True Fey and return balance to the natural world. Today, people often learn the ways of the Warlock from a teacher, instead of Fel creatures. Their blood magic and destructive powers can make people quite uneasy as well as possibly attract Fel creatures.
