Arcane Classes
The true source of the arcane power is still a mystery. It is not one of the natural elements in the world and not part of the primal world. However, it has been able to permeate and join easily with nature much like the Fey and the Enchanted Wild Lands. No one knows who the first teachers were of each of the arts. Only speculation and oral stories survived the apocalypse. The people who survived capable of teaching the arcane arts would create the new foundation of how they would be perceived and taught. Not all teachers follow the same path or share the same wisdom. Now, in the Age of Alliance many Arcanists seek the ancient knowledge and relics in the ruins of the past.
Arbiter

The stories say that the Arbiters learned to practice arcane magic to protect people before the Apocalypse. The True Fey wielded their magic against many and that was what gave rise to the Arbiters. That is one of the stories told among the Elves. Many of the Sky Elves are teachers and practiced Arbiters. They teach among their villages and also in the hidden Archives that are also favored by the Erudite Humans. When a student learns the path of the Arbiter they will learn to witness and experience the various forms of magic including the various other arcane spells, divine spells, and primal Spells. They will encourage students to learn not only what may be cast from people but from creatures as well, including the various deadly Kaitura. Many arbiters also learn to hone their physical skills to be ready for combat. In such a harsh world to be able to protect people means being vigilant and ready to defend making use of the Arbiter spells, shield, or sword.
Bard

Some of the Fey tell stories that Bardic magic came from their people long ago. Not all True Fey were monsters and that like the Faun they enjoyed the merriment of song, dance, and stories. The first Bards were taught to feel the Arcane energy that permeates much of the world and use the power to bolster their performance. Many people have forgotten how the knowledge was passed down to them. The songs and stories of their family or cultures are what passed on when a new Bard is taught. For some it can come easily like they simply learn to sing and for others it takes time and effort through study to combine stories or song with the arcane. There are Archives to teach Bards and to collect various stories and songs from all races and cultures. However, they expect contributions before they will share the knowledge they hold.
Magi

The Magi are expected to practice their Arcane spells in equal balance with their weapon. They hone their skills so they become fluid reactions to fight and defend. Many Magi have learned their skills passed down from generation to generation. They learn at a young age the martial skills and discipline as well as begin their study of arcane knowledge. When they become old enough and shown their skill they earn their weapon they will use as a Magi. This weapon will become an extension of themselves along with their magic. The origins of the Magi were one of the many histories lost among the apocalypse. However there is a common knowledge the Magi all over Nyrea have all learned. The names of Ze’phyr, Tonaz, Roxis, Amara, Fitz in conjunction with their rituals are passed down with the teachings. No one knows if these were the creators or the first Magi, and the answer is something many seek during the Age of Alliance among the ruins of lost temples.
Void Mage
The Void Mages are the newest of the Arcane arts. The Tartareans brought Void Magic with them when they fled their world, Lumera, hundreds of years ago. The only knowledge they could bring with them through the portals was what they could carry on their backs. They shared their knowledge when people were finally ready to listen to them no longer scared believing they were Fel creatures. The Tartareans had studied the Void in their world and how to take their power and use it as a weapon against them. There are no ancient relics of Void magic to be uncovered. There are only very rare pieces of knowledge of what was perhaps lost when a Void Mage has fallen. There are very few Archives that keep Void Magic, and those that do have to be well guarded against the Void.
Wizard

There are quite a variety of Wizards during the Age of Alliance. Some may have learned from their people what they consider are the old arcane ways of the Fey. Stories say that this was shared long ago so there was another way besides blades to fight the terrifying and monstrous Kaitura of old. Others say it was a deal made with the Fey for power to overturn the armies of their enemies. And others say that it was the Fey-Kin who taught people to be able to fight the Fey and other monsters. There are a variety of stories one may hear through Nyrea about their origins, but what is true is that the arcane power is from the Fey. Some are wary of the spells that reflect what the True Fey would do to hurt people. Others see it as any other tool and power used for survival. Not everyone will have a natural knack for tapping into the arcane energy in Nyrea and they will have to study and pour over books to understand the nuances to the Wizard spells and rituals. There are Archives to help teach the powers to people that are interested, but they are often run by the Elves that expect strict academic study.
